Apple Peel 520 Bound for Nationwide Retailers and Media

GoSolarUSA (PinkSheets:GSLO) announced today that the company signed a purchase order for 100 demonstration units of Yosion’s Apple Peel 520 device. These units purchased by GoSolarUSA will be among the first of the groundbreaking iPod Touch accessories to arrive in the U.S., the world’s largest market for iPod accessories.
“We plan to begin distributing these 100 Peels to retail buyers and media outlets across the country as soon as we can”
The Apple Peel 520 is a protective skin that slips over Apple’s iPod Touch media player and adds the ability to make voice calls and send text messages, mimicking the functionality of the electronics giant’s more expensive iPhone. The device also includes a 4.5-hour battery, dock connector and SIM card.
GoSolarUSA President and CEO Tyson Rohde is in China this week meeting with executives and developers from Yosion. Rohde said on Monday that he plans to bring GSLO’s 100 demo units back with him to the U.S. when he returns.
“We plan to begin distributing these 100 Peels to retail buyers and media outlets across the country as soon as we can,” said Tyson Rohde, President and CEO of GoSolarUSA. “We’ve already received inquiries from major American retailers regarding the device’s availability. The technology is real, and it’s ready for a proper American debut.”
Last week, GoSolarUSA inked a distribution agreement with Yosion giving the company exclusive rights to distribute the Apple Peel 520 in North America. The deal solidified GSLO’s relationship with Yosion as the Chinese developer’s exclusive partner for the West. Rohde will remain in China for several more days conducting due diligence toward additional deals with Yosion.
GoSolarUSA ordered a much smaller number of demonstration models in late September. The Peel’s initial manufacturing run hit retail shelves in China earlier this month.
“The response to Yosion’s Apple Peel 520 by Chinese consumers thus far has been thrilling,” Rohde said. “Retailers are selling out. It’s a scene we’d very much like to replicate in America this holiday season.”
GoSolarUSA is dedicated to aggressively acquiring, developing and marketing promising and potentially profitable technology. The Apple Peel 520 is a product of Yosion Technologies based in Shenzhen, China. The iPod Touch and the iPhone are products of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL), which competes in the global smartphone market against Google’s (NASDAQ: GOOG) Android devices and the Research in Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) BlackBerry line.
